October 9 - 12, 2018

Tomorrow, October 5 is a Professional Development day for staff. There is no school for students.

Monday, October 8, is Thanksgiving and there is no school for students. We wish all our James W. Hill Families a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with many opportunities to feel thankful!

During the week of October 9 - 12, JWH will be hosting Aussie X. They explore growth mindset through the Australian sports of footy, netball and cricket. The new physical skills challenge students to “Have a Go” at something new so they learn through adversity, and show students that they don’t have to be sports stars to love the feeling of getting active. Aussie X provides in-school physical activity and mindfulness programs that build life skills and help to create a positive school climate.

On Tuesday, October 9 our Cross Country team will head to Kelso Park in Milton. The buses leave at 9 AM sharp so please ensure that your child is here on time. The return time to JWH is 2:00 PM. Please pack a litterless lunch, plenty of water, sunscreen and a hat. Please check the weather in the morning to see if your child needs to layer their clothing.
